The nature and landscape centre Salquenen is the administrative headquarters of the nature park. There you will find the reception, the shop, the library, and the office premises.

Walk Miège - Leuk

From Sierre railway station we drive with the bus to Miège church, where the walk starts. We cross the terraced vineyards in the golden autumnal light and follow the signposted wine trail to Leuk.

Dragonflies

Among all the insects that enliven the ponds and channels in the Pfyn forest, the dragonflies are definitely the most elegant and easiest to observe. There are two types of dragonfly in the forest: The small dragonfly and the large dragonfly.

Wine Museum Vallese Sierre

The Wine Museum is housed in the enclosing wall of the Château de Villa. It shows temporary exhibitions about vineyards and wine and organises a program of conferences, wine-tasting and seminars.

Gemmi Snow-shoe Trail

From the Gemmi pass a well signposted snow-shoe trail with indicator sticks leads to Lämmernboden and from there over Lämmern Alp and on the Lämmerngrat (ridge) on to the Rote Kumme - Dauben Lake.

Winter trail Albinen - Feschel

The walk starts in Albinen. The trail is prepared with a machine and is about 2.5m wide. The walk can be done without any problem if you have good winter shoes. The superb views over the Rhone valley can be enjoyed all the way to Feschel.

Winter trail Gemmi-Kandersteg

For a number of years, it is once again possible to cross the Gemmi pass from the top and go as far as Sunnbüel in winter. The walk leads from the Gemmi over the Dauben Lake to Kandersteg.
The trail descends slightly, is well cared for and marked.
