Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut - This architectural gem is tucked into the Coumatta forest. The forest has been protected from logging since the 17th century because of its role stabilizing the land and protecting against avalanches. The church, in its current form, dates to 1589, although the protestant religion has been practiced here since 1555. The stained-glass windows were installed in the mid 20th century. The interior, covered by a wood ceiling, features original white pine woodwork from 1590.
Located next to the church, the vicarage was built in 1707 by the carpenter Joseph Goballet. The beautiful house, at first private, was bought in 1733 by the parish and thus became independent of Château-d’Œx.
The walk begins at the storage cellars of L’Etivaz, where all the Etivaz AOP cheeses mature. Les Moulins is reached over diverse cow meadows belonging to the alpine farms, of which some produce Etivaz AOP.
