Naturpark Diemtigtal - There are no fewer than twelve natural springs along the valley hiking trail between Oey and Schwenden.
The Schwarzbach springs are located on the valley hiking trail between Oey and Horboden. In the past, the people in the Diemtigtal supplied themselves with water from the village wells. In 1911, the first spring was tapped above Diemtigen. However, this had to be abandoned after the drought in the summer of 1945. From then on, the Schwarzbach spring area was used. No fewer than twelve springs rise on this slope. Where the water originally comes from is still unclear today.
What is striking is that the lower part of the rock stratum is made up of tuff rock and the one above it of Nagelfluh. Some of the spring water supplies Diemtigbergli, Diemtigen and Wyler.
In winter, impressive ice sculptures result from the springs and the eroded tuff rock.
