Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut - After the Breccaschlund, walk along the Euschelspass to Jaun, the only German-speaking village in La Gruyère, and home to a magnificent waterfall, fed by waters from the Vanil Noir. The trail continues on through the breathtaking Gastlosen.
From the St. Antoni–Brecca cabin, take the mountainside path that runs beneath the Spitzflue, and continue on to the Stierenberg mountain farm at point 1416. The trail continues on towards the Euschelpass. Carved by glaciers thousands of years ago, the Euschelspass is home to the Ritzlialp cabin, where you can stop off for basic refreshments. The descent down to the village of Jaun offers fantastic views of the Gastlosen mountain range. From here, walk past the new village church and its cemetery filled with individually sculpted crosses towards the former church and the impressive waterfall. Cross the Jogne river and take the path that climbs through the forest to the Gross Rügli mountain farm at point 1347. The path runs alongside the stream as far as Roter Sattel, before continuing around the Brendelspitz. A final ascent takes you to an altitude of 1804 metres, and the highest point of the hike. Enjoy the panoramic view! The path continues down to the Chalet du Soldat.
