Weighed down with mail and provisions, the messenger Siméon Meylan used to rest beneath a tall silver fir tree before climbing up to the col du Marchairuz. The fir tree is long gone – but the story lives on, thanks to a statue sculpted in its place by Paul Monney.
This trail has been specially laid out but is unsupervised.
