High up with beautiful views of the Schwarzsee, the Jura heights and the Breccaschlund. The Gifpel hike to the Kaiseregg offers plenty of views. Whether with a ride on the mountain railroad or directly from Schwarzsee - the tour can be adapted as required.

The chairlift takes you comfortably to the Riggisalp, where you descend slightly and then follow a wide path up to Alp Salzmatt, situated in the ridge between Homad and Kaiseregg. On an increasingly narrow mountain path, you reach the Kaiseregg Pass via the western flank and finally via a zigzag path. You reach the summit of the Kaiseregg through impressive cart fields. The slightly acidic rainwater has carved deep gullies into the limestone slabs. An impressive panoramic view rewards the effort of the ascent. The Schwarzsee Tourismus webcam provides information about the location of the guard dogs that occasionally watch over the flock of sheep on the south-eastern flank of the Kaiseregg together with a shepherd.
